How often do you share your faith with others?
What has been hard about that?
Matthew 7:12-14 NIV
12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
“Do to others what you would have them do to you…”
“I wouldn’t want them pushing their views on me…””I don’t want them to tell me I’m wrong…”You know, like social media 24/7? No one wants that, right?
But looking at the context, maybe that’s the wrong way of understanding this.
Matthew 5-7 so far…

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY.
To eternal life
Abundant life
To heaven
To find peace
To experience satisfaction.
THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY!
Wouldn’t you want people to tell you if there was only one way and you weren’t on it?!?
John 14:1-7 NIV
1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY: JESUS
And we have to tell people.
If they are on the road to destruction, we need to let them know that we have the WAY OF LIFE.
Hope for their despair.
Love in place of hate.
Grace in place of shame.
Mercy in place of judgment.
The whole law and prophets hang on this idea.
Do to others what you would have them do to you.
Love God. Love others.
Matthew 22:36-40 NIV
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

ONE WAY: KNOW JESUS.
To know Him and live for Him.
There are no other ways…
WE MUST TELL THEM.
Romans 10:13-15 NIV
13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
WHO DO YOU NEED TO TELL?
WHO NEEDS TO KNOW THE GOSPEL?
GOD. OUR. SINS. PAID. EVERYONE. LIFE.
PAX means PEACE.
Romans 5:1-2 NIV
1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
